Chapter 2, Exercise 1: Where’s Your “Pencil”
Always be prepared. This works for boy scouts and artists. Carry something with you all the time to apply your creative process.
I made a nice little bag with my stamps, postcards, index cards, note pad and pens. I always carry a pen and pad, but carrying the other items gives me the option to stop what I am doing and record the moment.
I send a postcard every day. The process of sending a postcard solidifies my thoughts. It converts abstract ideas into a real moment in time that will be reserved. Now that I have them with me all the time, those moments can be preserved in the moment, when they happen.
